Srinagar Records Hottest Night of the Season as Warm Weather Grips Kashmir.

SRINAGAR: Srinagar recorded its hottest night of the season, with the minimum temperature settling at 19.2°C, well above the normal level for early June, as a prolonged spell of hot weather in Kashmir continued across the Valley.According to official weather data, the Kashmir weather update showed unusually warm night-time conditions in several districts, reflecting the ongoing rise in temperatures across the region.Among major weather stations, Qazigund recorded a minimum temperature of 17.6°C, while Kupwara registered 15.2°C. Kokernag recorded 16.5°C, and Pahalgam, known for its cooler climate, reported 12.4°C.Tourist destinations also witnessed higher-than-normal temperatures, with Gulmarg recording 10.5°C and Sonamarg settling at 11.8°C.Other stations across the Valley reported elevated night temperatures, including Konibal Pampore (17.2°C), Srinagar Airport (17.4°C), Awantipora (17.0°C), Bandipora (17.6°C), Kulgam (17.6°C), Pulwama (16.5°C) and Anantnag (17.5°C).Meteorological experts said the heatwave-like conditions in Kashmir, coupled with the absence of significant rainfall, have contributed to the rise in both daytime and night-time temperatures.With above-normal temperatures in Kashmir continuing across several districts, residents are experiencing one of the warmest starts to June in recent years. Weather officials, however, are closely monitoring conditions and any potential change in weather patterns in the coming days.
