SRINAGAR: Six members of a family from a remote village in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir were hospitalised on Thursday after falling ill with symptoms of gastroenteritis and diarrhoea in a suspected food poisoning incident.
According to officials, the family reportedly became sick after consuming a wild vegetable. They were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors are monitoring their condition. All patients are stated to be under medical observation.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the wild vegetable may have triggered the illness, though health authorities are awaiting confirmation.
