Ram Temple Donation Scam: Ayodhya Court Sends 8 Accused to Police Custody Till June 29; ₹79.85 Lakh Recovered

Ayodhya, June 27: In a major development in the alleged Ram Temple donation scam, a court in Ayodhya has remanded all eight accused to police custody until June 29 as investigators continue probing the alleged embezzlement of temple donation funds.According to officials, the accused include Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Lav Kush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ram Shankar Mishra, Subhash Srivastava, and Ramashankar alias Tinnu Yadav.Investigators have reportedly recovered ₹79.85 lakh during the investigation. Police said the accused have been booked under relevant sections dealing with criminal breach of trust by public servants along with provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.Officials said five to six of the accused were bank employees assigned to count cash donations received at the Ram Temple, while Tinnu Yadav worked as a driver and Subhash Srivastava supervised the donation counting process.The Special Investigation Team (SIT), along with Ayodhya Police, is investigating the high-profile Ram Temple donation embezzlement case. The accused are expected to be produced before the special court after their police custody ends on June 29.The case has sparked widespread attention, with investigators continuing to examine the handling of temple donation funds and the alleged role of public servants in the scam.
