NHAI Approves Six Foot Overbridges Along Jammu-Srinagar Highway

SRINAGAR: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has approved a multi-crore project for the construction of six foot overbridges (FOBs) along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Udhampur district.The proposed pedestrian bridges will be constructed at Jakhani, Bali Nallah, Samroli PMGSY crossing, Ghantwal, Dharamthal and Champeri.The new foot overbridges are aimed at improving pedestrian safety on the busy Jammu-Srinagar Highway, particularly at locations witnessing significant movement of local residents and pilgrims.The NHAI project is expected to provide safer highway crossing facilities and reduce the risk of road accidents involving pedestrians.The construction of the six FOBs will strengthen road safety infrastructure along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and facilitate safer pedestrian movement in Udhampur.
