Srinagar, October 17: Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) is likely to remain slow at several stretches on Saturday due to single-lane road conditions, ongoing road construction and the movement of nomadic herds, the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police said in its latest traffic advisory. The Jammu-Srinagar highway traffic update warns commuters about possible delays between Ramban and Banihal, particularly near Marog and Kishtwari Pather, where road widening work, uneven surfaces and single-lane sections are affecting traffic movement.According to the Traffic Police Headquarters, very slow traffic movement was recorded between 6 pm on October 15 and 6 pm on October 16. A 30–40-metre single-lane stretch at Dewal in Udhampur and another narrow section between Marog and Kishtwari Pather contributed to the delays.
