NC Stages Protest in Srinagar on Article 370 Anniversary

Srinagar, Aug 5: National Conference (NC) leaders on Tuesday staged a protest in Srinagar to mark the anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370, demanding the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s constitutional guarantees.Senior party leaders and workers assembled in the city, raising slogans and holding placards calling for the restoration of Article 370, Article 35A, and Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood. The party said the constitutional changes of August 5, 2019, had eroded the rights and aspirations of the people.The protest was held amid heightened security across the Valley, with authorities maintaining strict vigil on the anniversary. NC leaders reiterated that they would continue their peaceful and democratic struggle for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s constitutional safeguards and statehood.
