New Delhi, Aug 4: Member of Parliament Chowdhary Ramzan attended a meeting of the INDIA bloc in New Delhi on Monday and invited alliance leaders to participate in the proposed protest on August 5 over the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s constitutional rights and statehood.During the meeting, Ramzan briefed senior opposition leaders about the significance of the August 5 protest and urged them to extend their support by joining the demonstration. He said the protest aims to highlight the demand for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood and the constitutional guarantees that were revoked on August 5, 2019.The meeting witnessed participation from several INDIA bloc leaders, who discussed key political developments and coordination on issues of national importance. Ramzan reiterated that a united opposition voice would strengthen the campaign for the democratic rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.The August 5 protest is expected to witness the participation of National Conference leaders along with members of other opposition parties.
