J&K’S CULTIVABLE LAND RISES TO 10.97 LAKH HECTARES

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir’s cultivable land has increased marginally to 10.97 lakh hectares, marking a slight rise in the area available for agricultural activities across the Union Territory.The increase comes as agriculture continues to remain an important part of J&K’s rural economy, supporting farming communities and livelihoods across both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.The latest figure highlights the significance of protecting agricultural land and strengthening farming infrastructure to support sustainable agricultural growth in the region.
