SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has dismissed reports claiming a major syllabus change for Classes 9 to 12, clarifying that no revision has been introduced for the ongoing academic session. In an official statement, JKBOSE said the existing curriculum remains unchanged and that reports suggesting a complete overhaul of the syllabus are misleading. The Board explained that only limited updates in select subjects were notified before the start of the academic session. According to JKBOSE, the syllabus of Punjabi, Physical Education and Functional English for Class 11 was updated through a notification issued in March 2026.Similarly, minor revisions were made in Environmental Science and Education for Class 12, with details shared well before the commencement of classes.JKBOSE emphasized that these changes do not amount to a broader curriculum revision for Classes 9, 10, 11 and 12. The Board urged students, parents and schools not to be misled by unverified reports circulating on social media and other platforms. The clarification comes amid growing confusion among students regarding the JKBOSE syllabus 2026, examination preparation and academic planning for the current session. Keywords: JKBOSE, JKBOSE Syllabus 2026, Class 9 Syllabus, Class 10 Syllabus, Class 11 Syllabus, Class 12 Syllabus, JKBOSE Update, Jammu Kashmir Education News, School Education, JKBOSE Clarification, Students News, Kashmir Education.
