J&K High Court Announces 15-Day Summer Vacation for District Courts in Jammu Summer Zone.

SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh has officially announced a 15-day summer vacation for district courts falling under the Jammu summer zone in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.According to a notification issued by the Registrar General’s office, the summer break will be observed from June 8 to June 22, 2026, with both dates included in the vacation period.The notification clarified that the vacation schedule will apply to district courts located in the Jammu summer zone, except for courts functioning in Kishtwar and Doda districts, along with courts situated at Batote, Gool, Banihal and Ukhral in Ramban district, and Bani in Kathua district.The High Court has also directed all concerned Principal District and Sessions Judges and Chief Judicial Magistrates to ensure proper arrangements for handling urgent criminal matters during the vacation period.Officials said necessary duty arrangements will remain in place to ensure that emergency legal proceedings and urgent court matters continue without disruption during the summer break..
