
SRINAGAR: In a major administrative exercise aimed at strengthening workforce planning in the education sector, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has nominated 20 senior officers of the School Education Department to collect district-wise Human Resource Management (HRM) data and other allied information across the Union Territory.The nominations have been approved through Government Order No. 283-JK (Edu) of 2026, issued by the School Education Department. As per the order, the designated officers will gather HRM data, staff-related records, and other required information from their allotted districts in the prescribed format (Annexure-A).According to the order, G.R. Mir, JKAS, Special Secretary to the Government, has been assigned Srinagar, while Kulbhushan Kumar, JKAS, Director Finance, will oversee Udhampur. Parshotam Kumar, Director Planning, has been allotted Doda, and M.A. Banday, JKAS, Additional Secretary, has been assigned Ramban.Other nominated officers include Ashok Kumar, JKAS for Anantnag, Syed Ahmad Kataria, JKAS for Bandipora, Hakim Tanveer Ahmed, JKAS for Baramulla, and Syed Shabir Ahmed, JKAS for Budgam.The government has also assigned Gurdev Kumar, JKAS to Jammu, Jagdish Chander Mehra, JKAS to Reasi, Mohd Ashfaq, JKAS to Kishtwar, and Rahouf Ahmad, Additional Secretary (Legal) to Rajouri.The remaining districts will be covered by Hakim Riyaz-ul-Haq, JKAS (Kupwara), Dr. Iqbal Hussain Mir, JKAS (Shopian), Deep Novel Kour, JKAS (Kathua), Braham Raj, JKAS (Pulwama), Mohd Ismail (Poonch), Deepika Sharma, JKAS (Samba), Thannaji Bhat (Ganderbal), and Mohan Singh (Kulgam).The initiative is expected to help the J&K School Education Department streamline human resource management, improve manpower planning, and strengthen administrative decision-making across schools in the Union Territory.
