Srinagar, Aug 1: The Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet will convene on August 4 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, with political circles closely watching the meeting amid renewed speculation over a possible Cabinet expansion or Council of Ministers reshuffle.According to official sources, the Cabinet meeting is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM in Srinagar. Although the official agenda has not yet been released, the Council of Ministers is expected to deliberate on a range of governance issues, administrative matters, and important policy proposals concerning Jammu and Kashmir.The upcoming meeting has generated considerable political interest as discussions over a potential J&K Cabinet reshuffle continue to dominate public discourse. Speculation intensified after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah recently indicated that the long-awaited expansion or reshuffle could take place either before or shortly after the National Conference’s statehood protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on July 20.Despite widespread speculation, no official announcement has been made regarding any Cabinet expansion or reshuffle.
