
Srinagar, June 30: Amid the ongoing heatwave in Kashmir, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) Kashmir has issued a public advisory urging citizens to avoid visiting the office unless absolutely necessary.In a notice issued on Tuesday, the RTO said people facing any issue, grievance, or requiring assistance related to driving licences, vehicle registration, permits, taxes, or other RTO services should send complete details via WhatsApp to 9622002432.The office assured that every effort will be made to resolve complaints and service-related requests within 48 hours. If additional documents or information are required, applicants will be informed through a WhatsApp response.The advisory has been issued to minimise public movement during the prevailing heatwave, with the RTO appealing to citizens to make full use of the WhatsApp grievance facility instead of visiting the office in person.Officials reiterated that the online assistance mechanism is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted public services while prioritising the safety and convenience of citizens during the extreme weather conditions.
