SRINAGAR: National Conference president Farooq Abdullah on Thursday said his party will not formally invite any political party from Jammu and Kashmir to join its upcoming Delhi protest for restoration of statehood.“Whoever wants to join the protest can do so. We are not going to anyone with a begging bowl,” Abdullah told reporters in Srinagar.The National Conference has announced a protest in New Delhi on the first day of Parliament’s upcoming Monsoon Session, demanding the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir statehood. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has also urged INDIA bloc parties to support the campaign.On the issue of special status, Farooq Abdullah said only those in power in Delhi know what lies ahead, while reiterating that the party will continue its constitutional struggle for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s rights and statehood.
