Commercial LPG Price Hiked by Rs 42; Domestic Cooking Gas Rates Remain Unchanged.

SRINAGAR: In a fresh revision of LPG cylinder prices, the cost of commercial LPG cylinders used by hotels, restaurants, eateries, and other businesses has been increased by Rs 42 per cylinder, industry sources said on Monday.Following the latest commercial LPG price hike, the price of a 19-kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has increased from Rs 3,071.50 to Rs 3,113.50, adding to the operational expenses of businesses that depend heavily on cooking gas. However, there is relief for households as the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged. The domestic cooking gas price continues to stand at Rs 913 per cylinder, with no revision announced for household consumers. The latest LPG price increase is expected to impact hotels, restaurants, catering services, and commercial establishments, which rely on commercial cooking gas for daily operations. Industry experts believe the higher commercial gas rates could increase operating costs and may eventually affect food and service prices. While businesses face the burden of rising commercial LPG prices, domestic consumers have been spared any immediate impact as household LPG rates remain stable for now.
