CIK Attaches Former KCCI President Dr. Mubeen Ahmed Shah’s Property in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 1: In a major action, the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Wednesday attached the immovable property of former Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) president Dr. Mubeen Ahmed Shah in connection with FIR No. 07/2020 registered at Police Station CIK.According to officials, a CIK team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Nisar Ahmed and District Investigation (DI) East Inspector Rashid Khan carried out the attachment proceedings during a raid at Dr. Shah’s residence in Buchwara, Dalgate, Srinagar.Officials said 12 marlas of land belonging to Dr. Mubeen Ahmed Shah, son of Late Ali Shah, were attached as part of the investigation. The property falls under Khasra Nos. 236 and 337 of Estate Buchwara and Survey Nos. 889/703, 595/353 and 888.The attachment was executed under the ongoing investigation into FIR No. 07/2020 registered with Police Station CIK, officials added.Dr. Mubeen Ahmed Shah, who served as KCCI president from 2006 to 2008, has been residing in Malaysia with his family since December 2019, according to officials.The attachment proceedings were carried out in the presence of Naib Tehsildar Shah Mohammad Asif.
