68-Year-Old Man Killed in Bear Attack in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir.

SRINAGAR, July 10: A 68-year-old man lost his life after a wild bear attack in the upper reaches of Darhal in Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Amin, son of Ali Mohammad and a resident of Dhok Jangwala, Panj Katha.
According to officials, the elderly man was in a remote forest area of Darhal when he was suddenly attacked by a bear. He suffered grievous injuries and died at the scene before any medical assistance could reach him.
Police have registered the incident and initiated legal proceedings, while further details are awaited.
The incident has once again highlighted growing concerns over human-wildlife conflict in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the hilly and forested regions of Rajouri, where encounters between wild animals and residents have become increasingly frequent.
