Weather to Remain Mostly Dry Till

Srinagar, March 25 : Parts of Jammu and Kashmir are likely to witness thundershowers beginning March 26, with weather activity expected to intensify towards the end of the month, officials said.

The forecast indicates generally mild and scattered weather conditions over the next few days, followed by a more widespread spell of rain across the Union Territory.

On March 26, there is a possibility of thundershowers in some areas, while March 27 is expected to remain mostly dry, with only isolated thundershower activity likely between afternoon and evening hours.

Weather activity is expected to increase between March 28 and 29, with light to moderate intensity showers forecast in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir from the afternoon of March 28 through March 29.

Officials said no major weather system is expected during this period, indicating that rainfall is likely to remain within moderate levels.

A more active phase is likely on March 30 and 31, when most places across Jammu and Kashmir may receive rain or thundershowers.

Authorities have also cautioned that hailstorms and gusty winds are possible in a few areas during this period, which could impact local conditions, particularly in vulnerable zones.

People have been advised to stay updated with local weather advisories and take necessary precautions, especially during periods of thunderstorm activity. [KNT]
