Uri, Dec 09 : Two persons were injured on Tuesday after two vehicles collided on the National Highway (NH-44) near Mahoura in Uri, officials said.
They told GNS that a Tata Tavera (registration number JK05D-7342) and a Maruti 800 (registration number JK05B-3563) collided, resulting in the Maruti 800 skidding off the road and rolling down a slope.
Both occupants of the Maruti 800 sustained injuries in the mishap and were immediately shifted to PHC Mohura for initial treatment.
A health official told GNS that the injured are stable and were later referred to GMC Baramulla for a CT scan and further medical evaluation.
The official identified the injured duo as Touseef Ahmad Sheikh, son of Mohammad Sadiq Sheikh, resident of Heewan Sheeri, and Ashiq Hussain Sheikh, son of Abdul Majeed, resident of Audoora Sheeri.
Police have in the meantime taken cognizance of the incident for further investigations.
