Hisar: A 50-year-old man was killed and his sister-in-law sustained serious injuries after the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in the Ravidas Nagar area of Adampur in Hisar district on Wednesday.The deceased was identified as Rohtash, a resident of Ravidas Nagar. His sister-in-law, Krishna, was critically injured in the incident and is currently undergoing treatment at Agroha Medical College.According to neighbours, the house was in poor condition for a long time. At the time of the incident, the children of the family went to school, while Rohtash and Krishna were inside the house. The roof suddenly collapsed, trapping both of them under the debris.
Hearing the loud noise, local residents rushed to the spot and pulled them out from under the rubble. They were immediately taken to Agroha Medical College for treatment, where doctors declared Rohtash brought dead. Krishna continues to receive medical care.Rohtash worked as a labourer and is survived by his wife, two daughters, and a son. The sudden tragedy left the family in deep distress.
