Baramulla, Dec 18: A leopard attack was reported early this morning in Shiva Sopore, where at least seven sheep were killed inside a sheep fold and several others were injured, triggering panic among locals.
The livestock belong to Showkat Ahmad Dar. Locals said the incident has created fear in the locality and urged authorities to take immediate measures to safeguard both people and livestock.
Officials from the Wildlife Department reached the spot shortly after receiving information and launched a search operation to trace the leopard and prevent further damage.
