Kulgam Police crack down on J&K nationals operating from Pakistan, book relatives and overground workers

Kulgam, Nov 8: In a major counter-terror operation, Kulgam Police on Friday launched a large-scale crackdown on Jammu and Kashmir nationals allegedly operating from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), targeting their support networks across the district.Acting on specific intelligence inputs, police conducted multiple Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) in different areas of Kulgam, focusing on individuals accused of facilitating and funding terror activities at the behest of their relatives currently based across the border,According to police, several relatives and overground workers linked to the J&K Nationals Operating from Pakistan/Pak-Occupied-Kashmir (JKNOP) have been booked under relevant provisions of law for their continued involvement in anti-national activities. The accused are believed to have been providing logistical assistance, circulating propaganda, and aiding recruitment efforts for terrorist outfits.During the raids, police said a number of digital devices and other incriminating materials were seized from multiple locations.Reaffirming its commitment to maintaining peace and security, Kulgam Police said the operations against terror networks and their supporters will continue until the ecosystem of militancy in the district is fully dismantled.
