Amid the ongoing escalation and airstrikes, with Tehran being among the worst affected cities, the Embassy of India in Tehran has initiated the relocation of Indian students to safer locations. The decision was taken as a precautionary measure in view of the deteriorating security situation.
Students from Tehran have been relocated to the city of Qom in buses arranged by the Indian Embassy. We have been in constant communication with the students, and we can confirm that all Indian students in Tehran, including those from Jammu & Kashmir, are safe.
The evacuation process is expected to take place in the coming days, subject to the resumption of airspace operations and the evolving ground situation.
We thank the Ministry of External Affairs and the Embassy of India in Tehran for their timely coordination, swift response, and continued efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian students.
