Iran Breaks Silence After Reports Claim Tehran Allowed Indian Oil Tanker Through Strait Of Hormuz

Amid rising tensions in West Asia, reports suggesting that Iran opened the Strait of Hormuz for India-flagged oil tankers have now been firmly denied by Tehran. The speculation emerged after discussions between India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the rapidly evolving regional crisis. Some reports claimed Indian vessels such as Pushpak and Parimal had crossed the Strait safely while Western-linked ships faced restrictions. But Iranian officials say those reports are incorrect and no special arrangement exists for Indian ships. The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the most critical maritime routes in the world, carrying nearly twenty percent of global oil supplies. With shipping traffic declining and oil prices rising, India is carefully balancing diplomacy and energy security while calling for restraint and stability in the region.
