Srinagar, Nov 11: The Office of the Administrator, Associated Hospitals, Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, has issued a circular directing all faculty members, heads of departments, paramedical staff, and students to identify and label their lockers with their name, designation, and code by November 14, 2025.According to the circular, issued by the Administrator of Associated Hospitals, the move aims to remove unidentified lockers occupying space in the hospital and college corridors. The Medical Superintendents of SMHS Hospital, RMOs of respective floors, and the Estates-cum-Transport Officer of GMC Srinagar have been tasked with inspecting and sorting out surplus lockers.It is impressed upon all the Faculty Members/ Heads of Departments/ Paramedical Staff/ Students, to personally identify their Lockers and Label them… This Exercise should be completed by the 14th of November 2025,” the circular reads.The circular further warns that no claim will be entertained for lockers not identified within the given deadline. Moreover, Section Officers, Estates Officers, and the Accounts Section have been directed not to issue any LPC, NOC, or service book to any employee until their locker has been properly handed over.The circular has been copied to the Principal/Dean of GMC Srinagar, Medical Superintendent SMHS Hospital, Chief Accounts Officer, all Heads of Departments, and Section Heads for compliance.
