
SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has announced a uniform schedule for the summative assessments of students from Classes 1 to 9 in all government and recognised private schools falling under the winter zone of Jammu Division.
The examinations will begin on October 12 and will be conducted between 10 am and 1 pm, depending on the duration of each paper, according to a notification issued by the Directorate on October 1.
For Classes 1 and 2, Mathematics will be held on October 12, followed by English on October 13, Kashmiri, Dogri or the local language on October 14, and Hindi or Urdu on October 17.
Students of Classes 3 to 5 will appear for Mathematics on October 12, English on October 13, Kashmiri, Dogri or the local language on October 14, Environmental Studies on October 15, and Hindi or Urdu on October 17.
For Classes 6 to 8, the examinations will cover Mathematics on October 12, English on October 13, Kashmiri, Dogri or the local language on October 14, Science on October 15, Hindi or Urdu on October 17, and Social Sciences on October 19.
Class 9 students will follow the same schedule as Classes 6 to 8, with an additional Vocational subject examination scheduled for October 21.
The notification, issued under No. DSEJ/Coord/2026/44461-44500 and signed by the Director of School Education Jammu, has been circulated to divisional and district-level authorities for necessary action.
