SRINAGAR: Vehicular movement on the Doda–Bhaderwah road was disrupted after a landslide blocked the highway near Chalnai on Friday, affecting traffic movement in the area.Officials said the landslide in Chalnai, Doda, resulted in a complete blockade of the road, leaving commuters and other vehicles stranded. The incident has caused inconvenience to passengers travelling between Doda and Bhaderwah.Following the road blockage, men and machinery have been deployed to the affected site to clear the landslide debris and restore vehicular movement. Authorities are working to reopen the Doda–Bhaderwah road as soon as possible.The incident comes amid continued concerns over road connectivity in the hilly areas of Jammu and Kashmir, where landslides can disrupt traffic following adverse weather conditions.Further details regarding the restoration of the road and resumption of normal traffic movement are awaited.
