Israel launched a daylight attack Saturday on Iran’s capital, Israel Katz, the Israeli Defence Minister, said on Saturday.
The attack was carried out “to remove threats,” according to Katz.A cloud of smoke was seen rising from the city’s downtown, and three explosions were reportedly heard in downtown Tehran, according to Iranian media.It wasn’t immediately clear what the target was but the attack comes as the United States has assembled a vast fleet of fighter jets and warships in the region to try to pressure Iran into a deal over its nuclear program.
